  1. My tip is to wait before making a big purchase. Don’t buy things on impulse and wait a few days at least before buying. You may find a better deal or you may figure out you can live without it!

  2. Well it starts in other areas of your life. When we wake up and thank God, then dedicate your day to him. As we do things do them for him. Before we do anything choose to do what is about to be done for glorify God. If we dedicate our lives and homes to The Lord, then there would be a tremendous shift in our spending habits. A lot of things would no longer make any since to be paying for or buying. Of course knowing all of the options are a big part of it too. What services are out dated and over priced? What things should and should not be cut out? This is where asking for help comes in. Some things should not be skimped on and other things should not be bought. But what are our choices? This seems to be a good start to me because if we are having money troubles, and we do not work on the only thing we can, “our own self”, then we will still have money troubles. If the answer were easy and attractive then there would be no issue. I know that this is not the end all prescription for solving a persons money problems. That answer is give it all away. 🙂 But I think it is relevant to the situation so I shared.

I do am only sharing this to share it, and I most certainly can not accept an award for it, that would be plagiarism. Also I have asked anyone to check this answer so It may be flawed.

    Have a blessed day.

  3. My wife has been un employeed for over a year now and we are surviving barely off of my income. We almost have two vehicles paid off and and a huge mortgage payment. I need ways to build up my fortune some how some way I need a miracle. Thanks

    • Russell,

We will be praying for you. Remember that God promises to never leave us or forsake us and He “will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:19). Kudos for being faithful in paying off the vehicles. We don’t know your situation, but sometimes God is calling us to make a season of sacrifice (I know we’ve been there before) by downsizing our house or cars, moving in with family, etc.

If you would like to talk to someone about your finances, we can arrange for you to speak for free to one of our Margin & Meaning Coaches. Please send us a message at events@account417.com and we can correspond. If you could include your address, we’d love to send you a free copy of our book, “Building Your Financial Fortress in 52 Days” which will help you stay afloat practically and spiritually.

      God Bless,
